Buffalo chicken strips

This is one for my American friends

They are finger licking good

Spicy and tangy and great for game day!

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken/ 350g of chicken
  • 3 tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. water
  • 3 tbsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp. oregano
  • 1 tbsp. chilli powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder

(Optional extras: if you want a cooling sauce, add smoked paprika, c. 1tbsp. to 5 tbsp. almond yogurt)

Method

  • Cut the chicken into strips/medium sized pieces, 7cm by 2cm
  • Place the chicken in a bowl and add the vinegar, water and cayenne pepper, make sure it is well mixed and that the chicken is well covered. Let sit for 30 mins
  • Preheat the oven to 180c
  • Arrange the chicken pieces on a large baking sheet and evenly sprinkle the remaining seasoning over the chicken pieces. Flip the chicken and sprinkle on the other side
  • Bake for c. 20 minutes or until done
